How to play KBÓM

Get the lowest score, not the highest. Peek at what you can, swap what you must, and call KBÓM when you think you're ahead.

1

Deal & peek

Deal 4 cards face down to each player, arranged in a 2×2 grid. Everyone peeks at their bottom two cards once — then they go face down and the memory game begins. The rest of the deck is the draw pile.

2

Take your turn

Draw a card. Either discard it, or swap it for one of your face-down cards (discarding the old one face up). Lower cards are better — you're trying to shrink your total.

3

Use action cards

Some cards trigger a special move when you draw them (using it is optional). They're worth 11 points if you keep them, so use them or lose them.

4

Call MATCH or MINE — anytime

MATCH: hold a card equal to the top discard? Shout "MATCH!" first and dump it. MINE: want the top discard? Call "MINE!" and swap it in. First to call wins it. No double matching.

5

Call KBÓM to end it

At the start of your turn, declare "KBÓM!" Your cards freeze, everyone else gets one last turn, then all cards flip. Lowest total wins.

PEEK

Look at any one card — a rival's or your own.

SWAP

Trade one of your cards with another player's, both blind.

PEEK & SWAP

Look at any card, then optionally swap it face down.

Scoring: number cards count their face value (the −1 cards help you!), action cards are 11 points each. Make a mistake, draw a penalty card.
